Woolworths

Woolworths is another retailer who is committed to making a difference to our environment. The store has many initiatives in place including, but not limited to:

• They no longer automatically offer plastic bags for purchases of three items or less
• Provide plastic bag alternatives to reduce the number of plastics bags that go the landfill each year
• Plastic bag recycling bins are located at the front of the store. The plastic is recycled to make other products – rather than being sent to landfill.
• Green Waste – rather than sending green waste to landfill, they send as much as possible to local farms and nurseries to use as animal feed or fertilizer.
